Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University and a global leader in improving healthcare for Women requires the services of a Strategic Information Officer (SIO): KANO


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY

1.Provide the leadership in M & E and PEPFAR reporting for the project in Kano State
2.Working closely with senior M & E officer and Project Management Team to

ü  Develop the Project Monitoring Plan and reporting format for PEPFAR indicators and targets.

ü  Design the data collection and reporting systems, using existing forms developed by PEPFAR partners in collaboration with the supervisors and project management team

1.Train and supervise projects reporting staff at the facility and state level.
2.Ensure projects performances data gathered at health facilities, cleaned and entered electronically at state level, collated and also analyzed at that level to guide overall project direction and implementations especially in Kano State
3.Contribute to the project reports to CDC/PEPFAR
4.Take charge of all M & E matters in the State
5.Perform other duties assigned by the supervisors for the project

Key Qualifications

•B.Sc in statistics, Epidemiology or related field: equivalent experience in monitoring and evaluation will be considered
•Significant experience in developing monitoring plans and or management information systems at least 3 to 5 years experience
•Significant experience in designing and managing data collection systems
•Experience managing and supervising technical staff
•Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English: demonstrated ability to write lucid reports to English, ability to speak Hausa Language will be an added advantage
•Experienced with PEPFAR reporting systems and formats will be highly desirable
